Description
A pair of hardcover art books with dust jackets, part of the ‘The Taste of Our Time’ series by Skira. The Matisse volume, a biographical and critical study by Jacques Lassaigne, features ‘The Dance’ (1910) on the front cover and ‘Music’ (1910) on the back, with a 1959 copyright and 1972 new edition. The Picasso 1950-1968 volume, a biographical and critical study by Pierre Dufour, features ‘Women of Algiers (detail), 1955’ on the front cover. Both books were printed in Switzerland and show wear, discoloration, and minor staining to the dust jackets. R.G.1.S3
