Description
A hand-painted porcelain lidded urn or ginger jar by Alka-Kunst, Bavaria. Features a soft-focus floral motif with large chrysanthemums in shades of purple and pink against a muted green and cream ground. The lid is topped with a gold-toned finial and matching rim. Marked on the base with the Alka-Kunst Bavaria crown mark, ‘Made in Western Germany’, and hand-signed ‘O. Bridgeford 1962’. Measures 14″ tall to the top of the lid. Condition: Minor wear to the gold gilt on the rim of the lid and base R.H.5.S2
