Description
A small snuff or pill box fashioned from two halves of a polished cowrie shell, likely a Tiger Cowrie (Cypraea tigris). The shells are joined by a brass frame with a simple wire hinge and a loop clasp. The interior shows the natural iridescent nacreof the shell. Unmarked. Measures 2.5″ wide. Shows minor surface wear and oxidation to the brass.R.N.3.S3
