1901 hardcover edition of ‘Poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’ by Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. Features a biographical sketch by Nathan Haskell Dole, frontispiece portrait of Longfellow, and decorative endpapers. Cover is dark textured material, possibly leather, with gold gilt title ‘Songfellow’ and decorative motif, protected by an aged clear layer. Significant wear to cover, edges, and corners; clear layer peeling. Pages show age-related toning. Inscribed ‘Margaret M. Satter’ on front endpaper. R.H.1.S1
