Description
Hand-painted Chinese export porcelain oval platter, 11 x 8.5 inches. Features a central ‘Shou’ longevity symbol surrounded by a radiating cabbage leaf (Bok Choy) motif with butterflies. The border is decorated with floral sprays and scrolling black-l ined cartouches. Significant wear to the gilding and surface grime; the underside shows an unglazed, kiln-fired base with typical pitting and iron spots. R.H.4.S3
