Description
A hand-colored print, after Jean-Marc Nattier, depicting Louise Henriette de Bourbon-Conti (1726-1759), Duchess de Chartres, as Hebe. The artwork portrays a seated young woman in Rococo or late 18th-century style dress, adorned with floral garlands,holding a small green bird in a pastoral landscape. It is presented in an ornate, possibly gilded, wooden frame featuring applied gesso decoration with scroll and floral motifs, consistent with a Baroque or Rococo revival style. The reverse is covered with an aged paper backing secured by nails, showing tears, discoloration, and old tape repairs. No discernible text, signature, or markings are clearly legible on the visible artwork or frame elements.. The frame shows visible wear and some areasof damage. Dimensions are 22 x 27.5 inches. R8
