Description
A Japanese porcelain vase of globular form with a short, slightly flared neck, presented on a separate dark carved wooden stand. The vase is decorated in a rich Imari-style polychrome palette, featuring red, deep blue, gold, and white enamels. The design includes large gilded floral motifs, likely peonies or chrysanthemums, set within red-ground cartouches, alternating with geometric patterns. The shoulder is adorned with lotus-like designs, and a white ground with small repeating motifs completes the decoration. The mouth rim is finished with a gold band. The base bears hand-painted markings, “Tokuyama” (??) in blue and “Imari” (???) in red, accompanied by an applied “JAPAN” sticker. The vase is shown with a standard beverage canfor scale. 8.5″ H
