Description
A James G. Biddle Swiss Made portable tachymeter, housed within its original fitted case. The mechanical tachymeter features a black-painted metal body with a circular cream-colored dial, encircled by a chrome or nickel-plated bezel. The dial is clearly marked “REV. per MIN.”, “TACHYMETRE”, “No. 10484D”, “James G. Biddle Philadelphia”, and “Swiss made”. The hinged rectangular case is constructed of a black leatherette-like material, likely over wood, with brass hinges and clasp, and is internally lined with peach-colored fabric and dark velvet. Included in the case are several metal and rubber-tipped attachments, a small metal pulley, a spool of string, and a small glass vial containing discolored liquid.
