Description
Hardcover edition of ‘The Complete Works of Alfred Tennyson, Poet Laureate,’ published in 1878 by R. Worthington, New York. Part of ‘The Lansdowne Poets’ series, featuring an ornately decorated cover with embossed and gilt detailing. Spine and front board bear the title ‘Tennyson’ and design elements consistent with the publisher’s style. Interior contains illustrated edition text printed by Trow’s Printing and Bookbinding Company of New York. Shows wear including rubbing on edges, fraying on spine, and minor discoloration on back board. Likely foxing and age-related toning to pages, as expected with a book this age. Binding condition not stated.
