A first edition (1880) copy of “Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ” by Lew Wallace, published by Harper & Brothers, Franklin Square, New York. Hardcover binding with black cloth featuring gold-embossed title and decorative design on the front cover andine. The book shows wear consistent with age, including fraying at the edges, an inscription dated 1893 on the inner front page, and moderate age-related yellowing and foxing. Small split to cover. Interior pages are intact with a detailed table of contents and dedication page. Dimensions unspecified.
